The joint smoothed out quite easily. After 3 coats of Thinned dope and a 32 sanding it's time to cover.Got boath top sides done, doped and sanded. Botoms next.

Dry fitting the upper wing. Outside struts are 1/16" bamboo skewers with balsa trailing edges, sanded to shape, filled and doped. Painted to match lozenge pattern on fuse.
