| scigs30 | Guillows Series 500 - FW 190 | Flying | 08-Dec-16 15:25 | | | Views : 10539 | | Flew my Guillows Focke Wulf today with supplied 7 inch rubber band and 5 inch prop. I then swapped out the prop for a Guillows 6 inch prop and that did not work too well. Nice 10 sec flight. Did take a lot of trimming. |
| LASTWOODSMAN | Aero-Werkes AW 11607 - Pfalz Dr.I Triplane | Parked | 08-Dec-16 15:11 | | | Views : 762 | | I cut out and made my own decals out of gloss "Black" and outllined with "Aluminum" adhesive backed (peel 'n stick) "Trim Sheets" from Top Flite - sheets are 5" X 36". They are 9.5 thou thick, of which the backing peel is 6.0 thou, leaving a 3.5 thou thick decal to stick on. I cut out paper templates of the wing and fuse sections, inked on marks to lline up with ribs and formers, cut out the holes in the paper template a little larger than tha actual decal size, and then used masking tape to hold the paper template on the wing and fuse, for perfect positioning of the decal. |
