The new 32" wing is covered and ready for water shrinking. The kit tissue was insufficient to cover the whole wing a second time, so I switched over to Easy Built tissue for the wing and changed colors for fun.

The old wing was quickly repaired then cleft in twain to allow for insertion of this newly built extension. The additional wing area is to compensate for the added weight of the RCC gear.

The stabilizer and rudder were several feet from the rest of the wreckage, partlially hidden by some brush and leaves.

This is about like I found it, except the wing was still attached and it was soaking wet. Damage suggests the tail took a heavy blow. In fact, I just realized the stabilizer is missing, I will have to go look for it, I wouldn't want to litter.

I decided the 5" prop may be too large for the direct drive motor and switched it out for a 4" prop. It is identical to the prop that put the One Nite 28 into the top of a tree, so it should be good enough for this bird.
