There are five brake panels on the SBD. Two on each wing and this one under the wing root. It still must be hinged and mounted. This was the prototype, the learning experience. After this day's effort I am now convinced I am "punchy!"

SBD, LG came in two flavors. This variant is from the mainly land based Marine, yellow, version. Though it will have a tail hook, and could land at sea on a carrier, it had a larger pneumatic tail wheel and distinct fairing thingy. Carrier based planes had a different fairing and a small solid rubber wheel.

This side built second I bent the cardboard around a large dowel. No "elliptical delusional" wrinkles, just a smooth looking curve.
