It's important to sand away the filler as soon as it dries cause after that it just gets harder and harder to sand. This required 45 minutes.

I got tired of breaking F1 so I glued FO to it which makes it much stronger and also provides a base for the cowl to be glued to.

Part FO is to be glued inside the cowling and the 3/32" holes in it and F1 are to attach the cowl for a flying model. The holes in F1 may look great but they substantially weaken the integrity of the part. I broke F1 more than once in building the fuselage!
