After wrestling the snow thrower again, I helped Gumby sheet the lower surface of the lower wings. Carbon rods pass thru the fuselage and align and hold the lower airfoils.

On the BE, the guns could be pointed forward or straight upward. Without the benefit of sights, it seems that they were intended for “Belly shots” at Zeppelins.
